So you have chosen me as your victor of this fight, have you? Very well... Allow me to give you this small bit of context as we begin... I am Erebus, the Ethereal Spirit of Shadows...or rather, I am a True Devil! I am the very being of which Shadows originate from! Those Dark thoughts that taint your minds, the feelings you get when you succumb to them...they are a result of my existence! One thousand years ago, I had control of the Crystal Empire under my power...but because of the work of heroes among the Mortals and Spirits, I was broken apart and became the Umbrum, a collection of remnant Shadows! I had a plan to be resurrected in the form of a young and powerful Mortal and reclaim what I lost...but now...

This infernal dragon has slain a valuable asset to my plan! Prince Blueblood... I was going to use him for my master plan to bring me back to life...but instead, he was taken down in this fight first! I can only glare in shock and become immensely angry! Out of desperation, I decided to awaken my own Mortal, Sombra from his subconscious slumber and declare a fusion. Sombra, wondering what is even going on, sees Blueblood struck down and Nightraid approaching them with the image of Baal looming overhead. He is overtaken by a feeling of Dread…and Fear… Sombra realizes that I have awakened him long before initially planned. Before he can even consider any options, Nightraid is already about to attack. I manage to stop the dragon’s attack and give Sombra a quick update.

Erebus: (Sombra, something has interfered with our plans! We don’t have time to explain! This is an enemy that I require your assistance in defeating!)

Sombra:…….Very….well…. *Eyes change to green with red pupils and purple mist begins to flare from his eyes* For the sake of the Umbrum… YOU WILL FALL TO DARKNESS! EREBUS!!! *A black tornado of smoke begins to swirl around him as Erebus’ image appears over him and lets out an ominous battle cry before dissolving into a massive smog around him*

I can hear the voice of Styx the Hateful! She is speaking to the dragon!

“Prepare yourself, Nightraid!”

Nightraid: Rrrrrrrrgh!

“This will be interesting… I have dreamt this before! Two weapons of Hatred under the command of their own True Devils… Well then… Let’s see who’s Hatred is stronger! Destroy him!”

Darkness: *The tornado of smoke clears and a massive shadow with Sombra’s monstrous face glaring down at Nightraid and speaking with a distorted voice* P R E P A R E  T O  D I E!

[CORRUPTION] Attack the enemy’s mind and darken their Heart to bring them to your cause.
Weakness: At this point, I’m not even sure Light Magic would work too well. Just kill him already!

Nightraid stands to face Darkness itself! After gaining strength from defeating Prince Blueblood and Cephalus, his scales become darker and his spines become sharper and his attacks become more vicious and can deal more damage…however, there seems to be a problem with delivering said damage… Nightraid realizes that Darkness has no physical form, thus, he cannot hit it with direct attacks. The only attacks that work are his fire blasts, which Darkness can consume since they’re Baal’s black fire. Despite knowing this, Baal has Nightraid fight anyway without pause and with great anger and Hatred in his Heart… Darkness can only grin as it consumes that Hatred! Nightraid keeps trying, but eventually falls down.

“WHAT?! No! How?! HOW?!”?!

Styx… I recognize your banshee voice! Huhuhuh… You were always most entertaining when you were angry!

“You… YOU BE SILENT! NIGHTRAID! STAND BACK UP AND-!”

Darkness: NOT THIS TIME!!! [TRUE FEAR] *Burns up in a dark fiery aura* Huhuhuh… URAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

Nightraid: Ngh… *Panting and on his knees in pain*

Darkness: All out of strength, are we? No more challenge? No more resistance? Hmph… You weak, pathetic fool! Y O U  W I L L  N E V E R  W I N!!! …….At least, not as you are… Would you like to know how to defeat someone like me?

Nightraid: H-Huh?!

“What?”

Darkness: Styx… She is so simple-minded! She has always been so limited in her own power that she seeks the downfall of others! She claims to be a True Devil of Hatred…but she is no more than a Demon of Misery! A crybaby at Heart… One who is lost to her own Misery and Hatred! She is nothing more than a weak little victim!

“YOU… YOU!!! YOU KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!”

Darkness: “I know nothing”… This coming from the one who thinks that a pawn who uses nothing but Hatred as his weapon against a foe who’s power comes FROM the very Hatred that he uses?! Hmph! You may have ruined my initial plan…but I see something within you…”Nightraid”… And I’m NOT talking about the True Devil, Baal! I’m talking about your Potential!

Nightraid: Rrrrgh…. Huh?

[CORRUPTION] Darkness sees Nightraid’s expression change and he beams right for his eyes! There is weakness in your Heart… You’re being held back by these foolish voices…merely telling you to kill because they are powerless to do it themselves…tricking you with the false promise of salvation from your pain…

Nightraid:……….

“Nightraid, don’t you DARE listen to him! Baal! What are you doing?! Take back control before he does!”

Baal:…………

“Baal?! BAAL! ANSWER ME THIS INSTANT!!!”

Baal: (Shut...up…)

“WHAT?!”

Hmph… Disgusting if you ask me! I can take away your pain without such foolishness! I can make you stronger the RIGHT way! And I can give you anything you desire, young dragon! Open your Heart for me…and I will do so right now!

“NO! WAIT! DON’T!!! YOU’RE GOING TO RUIN EVERYTHING!!!”

What do you say?

Nightraid:…….. *Slowly nods*

Then…it shall be done! Welcome to the side of Darkness! I gather an incredible amount of dark energy and launch it from my manifested horn and straight into Nightraid, forcing the essences of Styx, Baal, and Eros out of him! There you are! Oh…and what have we here?

Eros:……….. *Laying on the ground*

The grandson of my old friend?! Huhuhuhuhuhuh….. Well now! This certainly makes things MUCH more interesting! In finishing all of you off, I will become more powerful than EVER! As I prepare this smiting attack, let this be known! You are all FAR too weak! The Mortal stays…while the rest of you…

S I N K  I N T O  T H E  D A R K N E S S!!!

In an instant, the dragon's pain disappears. For the first time, he feels like he’s actually alive…though his mind is reset and is unable to process what is going on at the moment. Sombra steps out of the shadows of Darkness and has Nightraid go to sleep with a quick Sleeping Spell and directs his next attack to Baal, Styx, and Eros. With his last words to them, he takes a deep breath and exhales a massive torrent of black smog at them that engulfs them in their weakened states. Screaming of agony can be heard from Styx in the smog while the others are quiet. He then inhales once more to bring the smog back to him and he consumes it completely with them in it. He grins, roars, and laughs as he feels a rush of power.

With the strength of a True Devil, a Demon, and a fallen Ethereal Spirit, I, Erebus and Sombra now have all we need to break out of our underground seal! It is not quite as we planned, but we decide to make due with what we have and leave immediately. As Sombra emerges with Nightraid sleeping on his back, he turns his attention to the spot in the blizzard of the Frozen North where the Crystal Empire once stood and uses his magic to lift the curse he placed on it, bringing it back to this world…and heads straight for it to take back what he lost...and with our newfound power...!

We somehow still lose... It doesn't take long for Princess Celestia to round up a strong battalion to defeat us and our own forces with the Elements of Harmony and the retrieved and reformed Crystal Heart... In other words...
